Job Title: Naval Architect

SBM Offshore is seeking a skilled Naval Architect to join our team. As a key member of our offshore energy industry, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating offshore floating facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review inspection plans to ensure compliance with SBM and international standards.
  • Support and advise regional naval architects on planning and technical decisions.
  • Participate in inter-disciplinary initiatives and coordinate with classification societies.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions for structural issues.
  • Provide technical advice on hull integrity and support offshore and shore operations teams.
Requirements:
  • Naval Architecture or related field degree.
  • Post-graduation in Ocean Engineering or Naval Architecture desirable.
  • CBSP, T-HUET, CA-EBS, and Working at Heights certifications.
  • Strong technical knowledge of ship structure and strength, repair procedures, and international standards.
Behaviours and Inter-Personal Skills:
  • Effective communication and decision-making skills.
  • Strong ownership and sense of prioritization.
  • Ability to coordinate activities and work in a team environment.
