Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Naval Architect/Marine Engineer to join our team at ExxonMobil's Bengaluru Technology Center in Bengaluru, India. The successful candidate will be part of our Marine Engineering team and will provide technical support and expertise to our worldwide fleet of floating assets, drilling operations, and Upstream Projects.
Key Responsibilities- Perform mooring strength and fatigue analyses for passive and thruster-assisted spread and turret moored systems.
- Provide advice and guidance on differences between and use of various station-keeping codes and assessment methods.
- Develop environmental load cases used in mooring strength and fatigue analyses for passive and thruster-assisted spread and turret moored systems.
- Review, interpret, and evaluate contractor-supplied mooring analyses, and identify critical parameters and guide contractors in analysis methods.
- Provide technical guidance during the execution of Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) programs for mooring systems and assessment of mooring anomalies.
- Provide technical guidance during Root Cause of Failure Analysis (RCFA) Teams.
- Provide guidance on mooring system installation, replacement, and repair.
- Perform Drift-Off and Drive-Off analyses for dynamically positioned vessels.
- Understand Dynamic Positioning (DP) system architecture, DP system components, and system performance.
- Sustain ExxonMobil's culture of safety and support compliance with established safety management systems for our fleet of floating assets.
- Mentor less experienced marine engineers.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Naval Architect/Marine Engineer with a Master's degree in engineering (naval architecture, ocean, structural, aerospace, or a related discipline) and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Naval Architecture or Integrity Management of Floating Structures. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in mooring analyses of passive and thruster-assisted spread and turret moored systems, hydrodynamics, and motion analysis of floating platforms, and mathematical, statistical, and reliability analyses related to station-keeping and motions.

- Numerical modeling of dynamics of marine floating systems.
- Vessel motion analyses.
- Hydrodynamics.
- Model testing.
- Riser analysis.
- Software (e.g., ANSYS AQWA, SeaSoft, SESAM, Orcaflex, Flexcom).
- Strong communication, innovation, and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
