About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Naval Architect/Marine Engineer to join our team as a Mooring Systems Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for performing mooring strength and fatigue analyses for passive and thruster-assisted spread and turret moored systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mooring strength and fatigue analyses for passive and thruster-assisted spread and turret moored systems.
- Provide advice/guidance on differences between and use of various station-keeping codes (API 2SK, 2SM, 2I, ISO 19901-7, DNV E301) and assessment methods.
- Develop environmental load cases used in mooring strength and fatigue analyses for passive and thruster-assisted spread and turret moored systems.
- Review, interpret, and evaluate contractor-supplied mooring analyses, and identify critical parameters, guide contractor in analysis methods.
- Provide technical guidance during the execution of Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) programs for mooring systems and assessment of mooring anomalies.
- Provide technical guidance during a Root Cause of Failure Analysis (RCFA) Team.
- Provide guidance on mooring system installation, replacement, and repair.
- Perform Drift-Off and Drive-Off analyses for dynamically positioned vessels.
- Understands Dynamic Positioning (DP) system architecture, DP system components and system performance.
- Sustain ExxonMobil's culture of safety and support compliance with established safety management systems for our fleet of floating assets.
- Mentor less experienced marine engineers.
