Job Summary

We are seeking a Technical Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day technical operations of our vessels. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marine engineering, excellent communication skills, and experience in managing technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Operations Management: Oversee the overall technical operation of our vessels, ensuring they remain seaworthy and compliant with relevant regulations.
  2. Performance Analysis: Track vessel reports, analyze performance data, and identify areas for improvement to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  3. Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Monitor PMS compliance, ensure authenticity, and propose database and system improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.
  4. Budgeting and Cost Control: Prepare annual operating budgets and control costs, including fuel, lubricants, consumables, and other expenses.
  5. Certification and Documentation: Maintain the validity of all certifications and documentation, liaising with classification societies and flag authorities as necessary.
  6. Inspections and Audits: Prepare vessels for oil major vetting/Rightship inspections and ensure readiness, conducting periodic physical inspections to assess condition, crew, and IMS.
  7. Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate incidents, accidents, or machinery failures, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Requirements:
  • Education: Chief Engineer degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 10-12 years in the shipping industry, with a minimum of 2 years sailing experience as a Chief Engineer, and at least 2 years shore experience as Superintendent.
  • Skills: Strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
