Job Description

Experienced Mechanical Engineer sought for a challenging role that involves conceptual design, product development, and manufacturing support.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering principles, with excellent knowledge of design standards and specifications. Experience in working with large assemblies, solid modeling, and CAD software is essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering support to various divisions on product line variants, design modifications, and basic engineering calculations. They will also participate in concept/design/manufacturing reviews and perform risk assessments using DFMEA or similar techniques.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing product line variants and modifications of existing machines
  • Performing basic engineering calculations and acquiring/maintaining knowledge of functional specifications, design intents, and latest industry developments
  • Participating in testing, safety, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting reviews
  • Assessing risks associated with new designs and developing out-of-the-box solutions for complex problems
Required Skills and Qualifications

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering design principles and excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Extensive experience in engineering calculations, including selection of commercial components and material selection based on functional requirements
  • Strong knowledge of electrical components, sensors, encoders, and industrial machinery principles
  • Experience in handling large assemblies using SolidWorks (2018 & above) and AutoCAD
  • Excellent knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
  • CAD modeling and detailing using SolidWorks is mandatory, experience in Creo and UG is an added advantage

Education and Experience

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with more than 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Industrial Machineries and Equipment, discrete product machineries
  • Experience in Printing, Packaging and Converting Machines OEM is preferable
