Job Description for Event Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Event Manager to join our team at Gamut HR Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and executing various events, ensuring that they run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and Venue Selection: Conduct thorough research to identify suitable venues for events, taking into account factors such as capacity, accessibility, and ambiance.
  • Liaison with Clients: Build strong relationships with clients to understand their event requirements and preferences, providing personalized service to meet their needs.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with marketing and PR colleagues to promote events through various channels, including social media, email marketing, and print advertising.
  • Proposal Development: Create detailed proposals for events, outlining scope of work, timelines, and budget requirements.
  • Booking and Venue Management: Secure bookings and manage venue logistics, including catering, contractors, and equipment hire.
  • Facilities and Safety: Ensure that event facilities meet safety standards, including provision for first aid and emergency services.
  • Sponsorship and Sales: Identify and pursue sponsorship opportunities, as well as negotiate sales of exhibition space and other revenue-generating activities.
  • Brand Development: Work closely with clients and designers to create a unique brand identity for each event, including production of tickets, posters, catalogs, and sales brochures.
  • Event Dismantling: Oversee the efficient dismantling and removal of event infrastructure, minimizing disruption to subsequent events.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in event management, preferably in a senior role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $80,000 per year, based on national averages and industry benchmarks. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
