Senior Electrical Infrastructure Specialist

The role of a Principal Electrical Engineer involves the production and implementation of electrical building services designs primarily for railway stations and other rail infrastructure. This position entails coordinating and monitoring projects from conception to completion, supervising and mentoring junior engineers in their day-to-day work.
">Responsibilities:- Develop low-voltage reticulation and distribution systems, including UPS sources
- Operate industry-standard software for designing low-voltage systems
- Design general lighting systems and emergency lighting systems
- Utilize software for general and emergency lighting design
- Design cable management systems (CMS) and prepare CMS sizing calculations
- Present designs onto schematic and 2D layout drawings
- Model MEP services in 3D using Bentley Microstation and AECOsim
- Supervise and verify designers' work to meet project requirements
- Interpret client specifications and develop designs accordingly
- Guide junior engineers in the development of electrical designs
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Qualifications meeting UK Engineering Institution chartership requirements
- Extensive experience working within rail environments
- Multi-disciplinary design coordination skills
- Good knowledge of Network Rail and TfL standards
- Strong management and technical skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
