This is a critical role in drug discovery research where you will collaborate closely with partners and peers to translate technology and data needs into requirements for solution implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will be a key member of a multi-functional team that implements scientific software platforms for small molecule design, synthesis, testing, and analytics.
  • As a Scientific Business Analyst, you will serve as a liaison between global Research Informatics and research scientists, translating complex scientific needs into clear requirements, user stories, and supporting artifacts.
  • You will run a suite of custom internal platforms, Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software, and system integrations to support the technology ecosystem for small molecule discovery.
  • You will develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines planned features, timelines, and milestones, and identify and manage technological and scientific validation risks associated with the systems.
Tech Skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in a scientific domain area and related technology needs.
  • Experience writing user requirements and acceptance criteria in agile project management systems like JIRA.
  • Hands-on experience with chemistry-focused software platforms, compound registration systems, and AI tools for drug design, including BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot, Revvity Signals Notebook, ACD/Labs, ChemAxon, Schrödinger LiveDesign/PyMOL/Maestro.
  • Knowledge of business analysis best practices, DevOps, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery methodology.
  • Experience with cloud (e.g., AWS) and on-premise infrastructure.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • A Master's degree or Bachelor's degree with relevant experience in Computer Science, IT, Computational Chemistry/Cheminformatics, or a related field.
  • SAFe for Teams certification is preferred.
  • Experience in implementing and supporting chemistry-focused software platforms in a biopharma setting is preferred.
