Scientific Business Analyst Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Business Analyst to join our team. In this vital role, you will work closely with research partners and technology peers to ensure that technology and data needs for drug discovery research are translated into technical requirements for solution implementation.

This includes working as a liaison between global research informatics functional areas and global research scientists, prioritizing their needs and expectations.

  • Function as a scientific business systems analyst within a scaled agile framework product team.
  • Serve as a liaison between global research informatics functional areas and global research scientists.
  • Handle a suite of custom internal platforms, commercial off-the-shelf software, and systems integrations.
  • Support the technology ecosystem for small molecule discovery and ensure that the platform meets their requirements for data analysis and data integrity.
  • Translate complex scientific and technological needs into clear and actionable requirements for development teams.
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap that clearly outlines planned features and enhancements, timelines, and milestones.
  • Identify and handle risks associated with the systems, including technological risks, scientific validation, and user acceptance.
  • Develop documentation, communication plans, and training plans for end users.
  • Ensure scientific data operations are scoped into building research-wide artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities.
  • Ensure operational excellence, cybersecurity, and compliance.

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong understanding of computer science, IT, computational chemistry, cheminformatics, chemical engineering, or a related field. You should also have experience implementing and supporting chemistry-focused software platforms in a biopharma setting.

A master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field is preferred, but not required. If you have a bachelor's degree, you will need at least 6 years of experience in a related field. A diploma with 10-12 years of experience may also be considered.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot protocols and be able to communicate technical or complex subject matters in business terms.
