Chief Developer Large Molecule Solutions

As a Manager Software Engineering for Large Molecule Discovery, you will oversee the design and development of innovative solutions to drive business decisions in Research.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and mentor high-performing software engineer teams, promoting a culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, and growth.
- Collaborate closely with product team owners, the business team, including scientists, and other stakeholders to lead software engineering solutioning, ensuring timely deliverables within scope.
- Design, develop, and implement applications and modules, including custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements.
- A doctoral degree or equivalent, such as a master's degree with 8-13 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, Computational Chemistry, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience leading software engineer teams and 3 years of experience in designing and supporting custom software development for drug discovery.
- Proficiency in Java or Python, at least one JavaScript UI Framework (e.g., ExtJS, React, or Angular), and SQL (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, Databricks).
- Experience with event-based architecture and serverless AWS services such as EventBridge, SQS, Lambda, or ECS.
