As a senior content development specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our content strategy to drive user engagement. You will be responsible for developing and executing a customer-focused content publishing plan that meets the needs of our medical reference products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining content development plans per portfolio, including developing content, determining format, multimedia components, revision frequency, and new products.
  • Accountable for managing and achieving budget, schedule, reporting, and contract negotiation.
  • Anticipating content rendering issues and guiding authors in preparing content for maximum benefit to customers.
  • Planning and developing content for electronic and print delivery that meets market needs and increases product market share.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Familiarity with requirements for content to move smoothly through the publishing process internally or with vendors.
  • The ability to manage e-development and assignments for online or e-book development projects.
  • Experience with technology, including e-books, tablets, and online tools.
  • Experience managing writers, SMEs, and multiple high-priority projects.
  • Understanding of acceptable formats for digital text and art.
  • Facility with Word, Excel, and internet research.
  • Experience working with e-devices and e-content workflows.
  • Basic level of understanding of EPUB, HTML5, and XML as they relate to e-book publishing processes.
