Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Data Governance Manager to join our organization in Pune. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data governance strategies that align with our business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices. They will also have hands-on experience with data cataloguing tools, data lineage, and data quality. Experience in data maturity assessments, data modelling, and metadata management is highly desirable.

You will work closely with stakeholders to articulate data governance value to non-technical audiences and drive the adoption of governance practices across enterprise functions. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent collaboration and leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, data management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in data governance, data management, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Strong documentation and requirement gathering skills to align technical governance with business objectives.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management and articulating data governance value to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience driving adoption of governance practices across enterprise functions.

About This Role:

This role requires a self-driven individual with the ability to take ownership and lead governance initiatives independently. A process-oriented thinker with a structured approach to problem-solving is essential. Proven ability to collaborate across business and technical teams, influence without authority, and drive enterprise-wide initiatives.

Certification in data governance, data management, or a related field (e.g., CDMP, DCAM) is desirable but not required.
