Senior Data Governance Specialist

Our organization is seeking an experienced Senior Data Governance Specialist to join our team. This key role involves leading and championing master data governance initiatives across critical domains, including SKU, vendor, finance, and store data. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing a robust data strategy, ensuring high standards of data accuracy and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Master Data Governance Leadership: Lead and champion master data governance initiatives across critical domains, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Data Strategy & Quality: Define and execute a robust data strategy, including initiatives for data quality & cleansing to maintain high standards of data accuracy and reliability.
  • Implementation & Oversight: Oversee all phases of data testing & implementations, ensuring successful deployment and integration of master data solutions.
  • Complex Workflow Management: Expertly manage complex data workflows across multiple platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and synchronization throughout the enterprise.
  • Team & Stakeholder Management: Provide effective team handling, mentoring, and guiding data management professionals. Cultivate strong relationships through proactive stakeholder management, ensuring alignment and collaboration across various business units.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement in master data processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and support for business operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of experience in SAP MDM leadership roles.
  • Proven expertise as a functional MDM lead with experience in master data governance.
  • Deep knowledge across master data domains: SKU, vendor, finance, and store.
  • Strong background in data strategy, data quality & cleansing.
  • Experience in overseeing data testing & implementations.
  • Ability to manage complex data workflows across multiple platforms.
  • Excellent team handling capabilities.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder management.
  • Strong overall data management experience.

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Demonstrated ability to lead complex data initiatives and manage large teams in dynamic environments is essential.
