PHP Web Developer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled PHP web developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PHP and WordPress development.

The successful applicant will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using PHP and related technologies. This includes writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain PHP-based web applications and websites.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to industry best practices.
  • Design, develop, and implement custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific client requirements, ensuring high performance and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software bugs and performance issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Optimize application performance and scalability ensuring seamless user experience.
  • Develop and maintain databases, write and optimize SQL queries, and ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-4 years of hands-on experience in PHP and WordPress Development.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proficiency in PHP including experience with frameworks such as WordPress or Laravel.
  • Strong understanding of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for seamless integration of user-facing elements.
  • Experience with database management systems like MySQL or PostgreSQL and ability to write efficient SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git for code management and collaboration.
  • Solid grasp of object-oriented programming principles and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in writing scalable and maintainable code.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and the ability to implement security and data protection measures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and cost management tools in Azure.
