Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled procurement professional to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have end-to-end procurement management experience, including vendor coordination, price and data analysis, and negotiation with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Management:
    • Oversee the entire procurement process, including vendor confirmation, purchase order creation, rush orders, vendor master data management, expediting, e-sourcing, and service contract management.
    • Manage global procurement and sourcing from US-based suppliers.
  • Price and Data Analysis:
    • Analyze supplier pricing to ensure compliance with company standards or report necessary adjustments to master data files.
  • Supplier Coordination:
    • Ensure suppliers meet delivery timelines for materials.
    • Advise internal teams about delivery delays as soon as they're identified.
  • Purchase Requisition and Vendor Sourcing:
    • Review purchase requisitions and identify appropriate sources for supply.
    • Utilize e-sourcing tools to create service contracts and manage contract terms.
  • Negotiation:
    • Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, payment terms, and conditions to achieve cost savings for the business.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead a team of 7-10 members, providing guidance and support for efficient operations.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Publish weekly and monthly reports (SLA dashboards, MIS reports) and send them to the supervisor.
    • Ensure timely payment processing by collaborating with the finance department, resolving invoice discrepancies, and ensuring payments align with agreed terms.
  • Purchase Order Creation:
    • Create and manage purchase orders to ensure proper documentation and tracking.
  • Expediting Orders:
    • Expedite orders as needed to ensure timely delivery of goods, services, and works.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher (preferred).
  • Progressive experience in purchasing, with exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with data analysis using an enterprise procurement system.
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated track record of motivation and success.
  • Experience in a laboratory setting or within the Bio/Life Sciences industry is preferred.
  • Background in Operations or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
