Job Title: Lead Market Analyst

About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead our market analysis efforts, focusing on Indian markets and global macro indicators. The successful candidate will work closely with our Macro Strategists, collaborating on research projects and providing valuable insights to inform investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop advanced econometric models to forecast future trends and risks in Indian markets.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of macroeconomic data to identify key economic trends and themes.
  • Monitor global economic developments and assess their impact on markets, identifying opportunities and challenges for investors.
  • Produce high-quality research reports and commentaries discussing market drivers and trends.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop market strategies and contribute to the development of investment products.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Economics, MBA, or CFA, with a strong academic record.
  • 4-6 years of experience as an Economic Analyst, Macro Strategist, or Senior Economist, with a focus on modeling, research analysis, and team leadership.
  • Strong interest in global financial markets, with knowledge of recent developments and trends.
  • Excellent quantitative and mathematical skills, with expertise in working with large datasets and advanced analytical tools.
  • Advanced Excel, VBA, and Python programming skills, with experience in econometrics and data visualization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Working knowledge of database tools, including Macrobond, CEIC, World Bank, and other financial databases.
