Primary Years Programme Coordinator Opportunity

Foster a dynamic, student-centered learning environment as our next Primary Years Programme (PYP) Coordinator. Working closely with teachers, students, and parents, you will play a pivotal role in promoting the principles of the IB framework.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing curriculum aligned with IB guidelines, creating engaging transdisciplinary units, and providing guidance to teachers for effective delivery of the PYP.

Able to lead professional development workshops and training sessions, empowering staff to excel in their roles, you will also promote understanding of the PYP among parents and the school community through effective communication and outreach initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the PYP curriculum in alignment with IB guidelines, ensuring seamless integration of transdisciplinary units and inquiry-based learning experiences.
  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration and inquiry among teachers, providing guidance and support for effective delivery of the PYP.
  • Organize and lead professional development workshops and training sessions, empowering staff to excel in their roles.
  • Promote understanding of the PYP among parents and the school community through engaging communication and outreach initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of student assessments, ensuring compliance with IB requirements.
  • Stay abreast of IB developments and changes, guaranteeing the school's adherence to IB standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree or Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • IB PYP Coordinator training or certification.
  • Minimum 10 years of teaching experience, with a deep understanding of the IB framework, particularly the PYP.
  • Exceptional organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong leadership abilities and a commitment to ongoing professional growth.
