Role Overview

We seek a seasoned Learning and Development leader to spearhead our organization's strategic and operational L&D function across multiple manufacturing locations in India. This role will drive organizational capability, leadership development, and talent readiness by creating and executing Management Development Centers (MDCs), Assessment Centers, and Capability Building Frameworks aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a pan-India L&D strategy aligned with business transformation and growth initiatives.
  • Establish and operationalize MDCs and Assessment Centers for leadership pipeline development, ensuring seamless integration of learning programs and assessment tools.
  • Drive organizational capability building across technical, behavioral, and leadership domains, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Talent & Leadership Development:

  • Design and execute succession planning frameworks and high-potential talent programs, identifying and developing future leaders within the organization.
  • Create customized learning journeys for different employee segments (shop floor to senior leadership), incorporating diverse learning modalities and technologies.
  • Lead executive coaching, mentoring, and career pathing initiatives, empowering employees to achieve their full potential.

Learning Infrastructure & Innovation:

  • Integrate digital learning platforms (LMS, LXPs, mobile learning) across locations, enhancing accessibility and flexibility for learners.
  • Promote blended learning models including e-learning, workshops, simulations, and on-the-job training, catering to various learning styles and preferences.
  • Leverage AI and analytics for learning impact measurement and personalization, informing data-driven decisions to optimize learning outcomes.

Stakeholder & Change Management:

  • Collaborate with plant heads, functional leaders, and HRBPs to identify learning needs and deploy solutions, ensuring effective stakeholder management and communication.
  • Act as a change agent for cultural transformation and continuous learning, driving organizational agility and adaptability.
  • Manage external partnerships with universities, consultants, and tech providers, fostering innovation and expertise.

Governance & ROI:

  • Define and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for learning effectiveness, reporting outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and industry-specific training mandates, maintaining regulatory requirements and standards.

Desired Profile:

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Organizational Development or related field (Tier 1/2 institute preferred).

Experience:

  • 10–18 years in L&D, out of which at least 5 years in automotive or manufacturing sector.
  • Proven experience in setting up MDCs/Assessment Centers and leading capability building programs, demonstrating strategic thinking and execution capability.
