Market Risk Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join our team and take on the role of Market Risk Specialist.

As a key member of our Enterprise Risk Management practice, you will be responsible for managing specialized risk management functions within the bank. Your primary focus will be on market risk, where you will:

  1. Establish policies and guidelines for enhanced monitoring of Treasury/Investment/ALM/Liquidity risk.
  2. Conduct valuations of Treasury portfolios – Forex, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Equity and others.
  3. Provide independent mid-office monitoring support on NOP, Fixed income, FIG, Derivatives, limit monitoring etc.
  4. Monitor hedge effectiveness on a periodic basis.
  5. Implement and calculate Capital charge and Counterparty Risk Charge.
  6. Perform technical analysis of Equities, Bonds and Money market funds.
  7. Maintain all types of limit monitoring with respect to treasury activities as prescribed in Internal and regulatory policies.
  8. Reconcile MTM with counterparty banks for derivatives deals undertaken and make/respond margin calls in term of CSA arrangement with them.
  9. Prepare Regulatory and internal daily and periodical reports and Board notes on accurate and timely submission.
  10. Enhance methodologies for counterpart credit risk measures like PFE, CVA etc.

In addition to market risk, you will also be responsible for Liquidity Risk and ALM, which includes:

  1. Monitoring and simulating LCR/NSFR.
  2. Robust monitoring and risk reporting on Maturity of ALM products.
  3. Limit setting for MAL/SAL using statistical modelling techniques.
  4. Generating Interest rate risk on bank's book basis IRRBB or via Sensitivity Report analysis like NII and EVE.
  5. Good understanding of Behavioral studies of ALM products.
  6. Implementation experience of ALM / Market Risk system from end to end.
  7. Pricing/Hedging of banking products across asset classes (Rates, FX, Bonds).
  8. Well versed with Stress testing of Liquidity and Interest rate risk.
  9. ICAAP, RAROC, FTP methodologies, RAS will be preferable.
  10. Handling Audit queries and providing active assistance in audit.

You should have 6-8 years of relevant work experience for Middle East banks.
