Job Opportunity: Technical Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering technical assistance to clients and partners.
  • Configuring, troubleshooting, and providing best practices to customers.
  • Managing support cases to ensure issues are recorded, tracked, resolved, and follow-ups are completed in a timely manner.
  • Isolating faults and analyzing root causes for technical issues.
  • Publishing technical support bulletins and other documentation in the knowledge base.
  • Reviewing technical documentation for training materials, marketing collateral, manuals, troubleshooting guides, etc.
  • Traveling to customer sites for critical situations to expedite resolution as needed.
  • Providing 24/7 on-call support as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a technical support environment is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in Japanese and business-level English.
  • Expertise with network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, IP routing, HTTP/HTTPS, remote access VPN solutions, IPSEC, PKI & SSL, authentication protocols (LDAP, RADIUS, etc.).
  • Able to independently debug complex networks with mixed media and protocols.
  • Ability to work well in a diverse team environment.
  • Attention to detail, fast learner, and excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with firewall central management systems.
  • Experience with multi-factor authentication security systems (tokens, certificates, CAC cards, etc.).
  • Virtualization experience (AWS, Azure, VMWare, OpenStack).
  • Experience with Windows and MAC OS (debugging, editing registries, Plist, etc.).
  • Experience with Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper (Netscreen), and Fortinet products.
