Compliance Officer

A Compliance Officer plays a vital role in ensuring that our organization operates within the bounds of relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Submissions: Ensure all regulatory submissions are periodically uploaded in the portal after concurrence with stakeholders.
  • Process Management: Stay aware of submission processes which include business submissions, schedules submissions, SP submissions, complaints submissions, financial statements submissions, and compliance certificates as applicable.
  • Registers Maintenance: Track, align, ensure, and coordinate with business units to maintain regulatory registers in the appropriate format and submit them to the regulatory body.
  • Communication: Communicate with regulators according to regulations including branch opened and closed data, directorship changes, and regulatory charges levied.
  • IIB Envoy Portal Update: Upload, track, and review salespersons and SP details periodically.
  • License Renewal: Keep track of and renew licenses along with stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Checklist Maintenance: Track the regulatory checklist (registers, timely submissions, grievances, etc.) completely with stakeholders.
  • Reconciliations Tracking: Coordinate with finance teams for reconciliation sign-off every month and ensure gaps identified in recon are followed up.
  • Agreements Maintenance: Maintain and track agreements of insurers, SLAs of insurers, commission structures of insurers.
  • Grievance Tracking/Data Maintenance: Track grievances from the grievance team, insurers, and coordinate resolution with insurers, business, product, and branch teams. Maintain the grievance register as per regulatory requirements.
  • Audit Initiation for Branch & Tracking: Provide audit checklists and coordinate with functional audit teams to track audit resolutions for branches.
  • Compliance Check on AML: Provide compliance checklists to MFL's compliance team and coordinate and track AML cases with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Legal/Litigation Tracking: Bookkeep litigation insurance cases, open cases, and update regulators as needed.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other activities delegated by management and supervisors from time to time.
