Design Airport Infrastructure

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design of airfield and landside infrastructure including runways, taxiways, aprons, aircraft stands, roads, and parking facilities.

Key aspects of this role include geometric design, grading, earthworks, signing & marking, simulation, and BIM integration to produce accurate and standards-compliant design packages.

  • Develop detailed geometric designs for runways, taxiways, aprons, stands, airside roads, access roads, and parking layouts.
  • Prepare grading plans, cut-and-fill calculations, and earthworks balance for airfield and landside areas.
  • Produce Design drawings and BoQs (Bills of Quantities) extracted from BIM models.
  • Support stand and gate design optimization, ensuring safe aircraft operations and adequate integration of fueling pits, ground power, pre-conditioned air (PCA), and GSE routes.
  • Use AviPLAN for aircraft movement simulation, apron/stand clearance checks, and taxiway layout validation.
  • Conduct GSE (Ground Support Equipment) simulations to optimize apron operations and gate service layouts.

Our ideal candidate will have experience with BIM tools such as Navisworks and Civil 3D, as well as a thorough understanding of international aviation and roads design standards.
