HVAC Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform load calculations, equipment selection, duct and piping design, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Design HVAC systems including heating, cooling, ventilation, and air distribution systems.
  • Select and size HVAC equipment based on project requirements.
  • Design ductwork, piping layouts, and control systems using software like HAP, Trace 700, or Carrier E-20.
  • Ensure designs comply with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and local building codes.
  • Perform energy efficiency analysis and optimize HVAC systems for cost and sustainability.
  • Coordinate with MEP engineers, architects, and contractors for system integration.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and design documentation for project approvals.
  • Assist in tendering, cost estimation, and bid evaluations for HVAC systems.
  • Support project execution by providing technical guidance during installation and commissioning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC design and engineering.
  • Proficiency in HVAC design software (HAP, Trace 700, Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Carrier E-20).
  • Strong knowledge of duct and pipe sizing, psychrometrics, and refrigeration cycles.
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and other HVAC standards.
  • Experience in energy modeling and sustainable HVAC system design.
  • Ability to troubleshoot HVAC system performance issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in HVAC design (ASHRAE, LEED AP, or similar).
  • Experience working on international projects (Gulf region, US, UK, etc.).
  • Knowledge of CFD analysis, thermal modeling, and energy simulation tools.
