Business Finance Manager Job Description

This role is responsible for providing strategic financial analysis and planning support to business units to drive financial performance and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide actionable financial insights to support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning initiatives.
  • Lead the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and monthly reporting processes.
  • Analyze variances between actuals, forecasts, and budgets, and present findings with data-driven insights.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and business drivers.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and management reports.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies.
  • Monitor spends and ensure alignment with financial targets.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for senior leadership.
  • Conduct business case analysis, ROI modeling, and scenario planning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA/CPA/CFA is a plus).
  • 3+ years of experience in business finance, FP&A.
  • Strong understanding of financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of operational metrics.
  • Ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience in similar industry is a plus.
