Manufacturing Engineer (CAM)

The primary function of this position is to develop and implement Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) programs utilizing NX software. This involves conceptualizing, generating, and optimizing CAM programs for 3D models by defining cutting tools and strategies.

Responsibilities:
  • Conceptualize and generate optimized CAM programs for production processes.
  • Validate output through simulations, generate NC code, and perform virtual tests to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Process input data from 3D models against 2D drawings and assemble part geometry in fixtures to ensure proper fit and function.
  • Collaborate with process engineers to implement CAM programs on CNC machines, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
  • Conduct quality control analyses, implement corrective actions, and iterate as needed to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Document setup sheets and work instructions for CNC operators to ensure clarity and consistency.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical, Production, Mechatronics, or Automobile Engineering.
  • Experience: Five years of experience in NX CAM or eight years in a diploma course with a strong understanding of CAD/CAM principles and practices.
  • Skills: Knowledge of GD&T is mandatory, as well as CNC machines, NX CAD, cutting tools, and FANUC Controller.
