We are seeking a skilled Senior Statistical Programmer to take on a key role in our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAS programming and be well-versed in CDISC and other regulatory standards.
About the Role:
- The Senior Statistical Programmer will exceed expectations and responsibilities of a Statistical Programmer II.
- They will implement CDISC and other regulatory standards, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
- Following internal SAS programming conventions, they will lead programming efforts on assigned studies.
- The Senior Statistical Programmer will coordinate and ensure accuracy and completeness of activities for assigned support programmers.
- They will create and maintain project timelines, develop tools and macros to improve quality and efficiency of processes.
- Additionally, they will prepare programming specifications for SDTM, ADaM and other derived datasets.
- The Senior Statistical Programmer will apply knowledge of SAS programming to program/develop and/or validate statistical outputs according to the statistical analysis plan and other specifications.
- They will perform ad hoc analyses of current and legacy databases.
- The Senior Statistical Programmer will review and provide input on case report form design.
- As a mentor to other programmers, they will share their expertise and knowledge.
- Maintaining awareness of scope of work to actual work, they will alert management of potential change orders or resourcing needs.
- Working effectively with cross-functional team members, the Senior Statistical Programmer will ensure accurate and high-quality statistical outputs.
- Participating in the development and revision of department SOPs, they will contribute to process improvement.
- The Senior Statistical Programmer will support business development process; RFI completion, proposal development, bid defense participation, attendance at industry/scientific meetings, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or closely related field (work experience may be substituted for degree).
- Minimum 4 years direct SAS programming experience in pharmaceutical development or CRO environment.
- Good knowledge of medical terminology and conduct and analysis of clinical trials.
- Knowledge of relevant industry data standards (e.g. CDISC SDTM, ADaM, etc.).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
