Job Description:

To conduct microbiological analysis, you will be responsible for collecting ingredients, EMP, packaging, in-process samples, and finished product samples as per the sampling plan. You must conduct tests according to AN methods and BIS. Your role involves analysis of all BIS-approved products using BIS methods and releasing batches accordingly. Additionally, you are responsible for preparing and sterilizing microbiological media according to AN and BIS method requirements, conducting growth promotion testing using AN methods, and recording results. Decontamination of biohazard waste generated from the micro lab is also part of your duties.

You will be responsible for conducting routine calibration and verification for glassware and equipment. Compositing FP and RM as per GLP-compliant methods is another critical task. Maintaining GDP practices strictly to avoid documentation errors is essential. The 5S system must be upheld religiously within the micro lab. Record-keeping for all test parameters and maintaining raw data is necessary. GHK practices in the lab and monitoring routine cleaning practices are required.

Any deviations observed like OOS or OAL must be immediately informed to the supervisor or lab manager. Record-keeping must follow retention policies. Handling additional projects according to management directions and completing compliancewire training on schedule are also responsibilities.

Review of laboratory records, handling internal audits, tracking CAPA, attending Tier 2 meetings, and MSP on a daily basis are required tasks.

Requirements:
  • Postgraduate degree in Microbiology with Dairy Microbiology or Graduate degree in Microbiology with relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with BAM, APHA, AOAC, and BIS microbiological methods for Nutritional powders.
  • Knowledge of microbiological procedures, operating methods of equipment, and Food Safety Management Systems.
  • Understanding of QA checks for Raw Material, Packing Material, In Process Product, Finished Product, and EMP.
  • Knowledge of safety aspects of the Micro Lab and GLP.
