Job Title: Strategic Network Architect

Job Description:

The Strategic Network Architect is a critical member of our technical services group, responsible for the strategic operational support of our data center, distributed servers, and application network.

They will work closely with IT management and other functional groups to design, develop, deploy, and administer the company's enterprise networks. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work collaboratively between technical and non-technical people within the organization.

Essential Duties:
  • Provide subject matter expertise (SME) troubleshooting support for enterprise-class network services. Lead engineering and support services for SDWAN fabric networks across local and international office locations. SME for network security and high availability networks.
  • Lead the support of enterprise network technologies. Manage enterprise network monitoring systems. Support internal development teams throughout development, QA testing, and maintenance processes. Maintain network infrastructures and supporting technologies.
  • Develop and maintain technical standards, procedures, and techniques for resolving network problems to ensure maximum system availability and performance levels. Provide guidance to less skilled network engineers. Participate in product evaluation, systems testing, certification, and product lifecycle management. Participate in scheduled and unscheduled system maintenance. Change Management, on-call, and off-hour systems support.
  • Lead network infrastructure disaster recovery planning and practices. SME for network systems and infrastructure components. Troubleshoot application and system errors using various tools and methods. Participate in scheduled weekend system changes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Professional degree in a related field (e.g., computer science, networking).
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS, Silverpeak or equivalent SDWAN technologies, enterprise management of wireless infrastructures, and enterprise management tools (e.g., Cisco DNA Center, Solarwinds).
  • Experience with complex enterprise networks, Windows servers, and networking with Microsoft operating systems.
  • CCNA, CCNP certifications highly valued.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in an IT role supporting US-based enterprise networks.
