Key Statistics Analyst Position

Description:

The ideal candidate for this statistics analysis role will have a master's degree in statistics or economics, along with 0-2 years of experience working with large transactional databases. This position involves delivering accurate and timely statistical results, as well as building and presenting statistically sound models using current standard programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate and on-time statistical results.
  • Be responsible for accurate and timely delivery of all statistical deliverables.
  • Conduct small to medium-scale projects and research through all stages.
  • Independently build and present internally statistically sound models using current standard programs.
  • Apply industry techniques, ideas, and trends to current systems.
  • Translate clients' needs into project plans and communicate effectively with internal departments.
  • Master the desktop and UNIX tool set to create content for evaluating statistical analyses.
  • Become proficient with different types of quantitative modeling offerings.
  • Work with internal departments to troubleshoot problems and effectively explain results of troubleshooting.
  • Lead statistical training on standard models to other departments.
  • Manage project deadlines and lead low- to medium-level complexity projects.
  • Consult with other departments on ways to improve systems and develop strong working relationships with key people in other departments.
  • Write new Python code, improve current code, and understand all code being used.
  • Monitor and document progress of the job through Jira system and keep Onshore updated on the status of all Models in progress.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in statistics/economics
  • 0-2 years prior experience with data analysis or modeling with large transactional databases
  • Good to have experience/exposure in statistical/data analytics field
  • Good to have experience/exposure conducting original research
  • Experience/project in python/SAS environment is desired
