Our organization is seeking an exceptional software engineer to spearhead the development and optimization of complex database systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software engineering concepts, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine SQL queries and stored procedures to ensure optimal database performance and stability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that drive results.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of database solutions, focusing on scalability and resiliency.
Requirements
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
  • 9+ years of hands-on experience in database engineering, with a focus on Any RDBMS viz. Sybase / Oracle / Postgres.
  • Proficiency in SQL, query optimization, and stored procedure development.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile practices, with a proven track record of delivering high-performance projects.
  • Experience with database performance tuning and optimization, as well as problem-solving skills to tackle complex issues.
  • Strong communication and team-working skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in financial services, preferably in a Trade management setup, with a focus on equity/credit derivatives trading and products.
  • Understanding of NoSQL databases and caching technologies, with experience working on AWS platforms.
  • A desire to learn about the Derivatives domain and technology, with a willingness to adapt to new challenges and opportunities.
