Linux Systems Administrator Role

The ideal candidate for this Linux Systems Administrator role will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our Linux systems infrastructure.

  • LVM (Logical Volume Manager) concepts: Creation, extension, and troubleshooting of File Systems.
  • Multipath concept: Validating multipath, adding LUNs, and enabling multipath.
  • Performance Optimization: Ensuring performance specifications are met.
  • Security Patching: Evaluating and correcting OS vulnerabilities by patching servers.
  • Troubleshooting: Coordinating with vendors to resolve hardware and OS-level issues.
  • Log Management: Log rotation and managing File System usage, changing permissions/ownership.
  • Implementation: Implementing changes as per application team and DB team requirements at the OS level.
  • Compliance: Adhering to SLA Do's and Don'ts while handling BAU tasks.
  • Service Management: Managing NTP, SSH, AUTOFS, etc.
  • Server Recovery: Fixing server access and bootable issues, including Grub fixes.
  • OS Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting OS-level issues in bringing up the server.
  • Migration Advantage: OS migration is an added advantage.
