Job Title:

Platform Engineering Leader

This is a critical role for an experienced Platform Engineer to lead the design, development and implementation of our platform infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing the scalability, reliability and efficiency of our services and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee efforts to automate and improve deployment processes and infrastructure management.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively address potential bottlenecks.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD pipelines and ensure best practices in software delivery.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and teams.

• Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance platform capabilities.

• Ensure security best practices are integrated into the development and deployment processes.

• Conduct regular reviews with stakeholders to align on technology roadmap and progress.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of platform architecture and design principles.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java or Go.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible etc).

• Understanding of networking concepts and services including load balancing DNS and VPNs.

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus Grafana ELK stack Dynatrace).

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.

• Experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies.
