Job Summary:

We seek a highly skilled SOC L2 Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and functional support to the incident response team with analytical feedback.
  • Investigate security incidents, collect evidence, diagnose issues, recover within defined SLAs, and close incidents.
  • Understand information security policies and best practices in our environments.
  • Inform management on proactive and reactive actions to ensure adherence to security policy.
  • Review metrics from monitoring systems and be aware of patterns and anomalies.
  • Perform incident response to eliminate threats, determine causes, and preserve evidence for analysis.
  • Ensure consistent incident handling in accordance with established playbooks.
  • Monitor SIEM and logging for network threats, intrusions, and compromises.
  • Understand the global threat environment and general security best practices.
  • Assist with triage of service requests from automated sensors and internal requests for assistance.
  • Participate in active cyber hunting to identify and eliminate known and unknown network threats.
  • Interface with technical personnel from various disciplines to resolve critical issues.
  • Inform leadership of incidents and propose effective responses and countermeasures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in Information Security and 3+ years in managing a SOC.
  • Knowledge of industry-recognized analysis frameworks (Kill Chain, Diamond Model, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST Incident Response, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Cloud Computing Fundamentals, EDR, DLP, Firewall.
  • Thorough understanding of fundamental security and network concepts (Operating Systems, intrusion/detection, TCP/IP, ports, etc.).
