Our organization seeks a visionary leader to oversee the management and support of complex data systems. This pivotal role entails leading a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, and ensuring efficient resolution of intricate issues.

The Data Support Specialist will be responsible for guiding and mentoring a group of skilled professionals, fostering an environment conducive to collaboration and knowledge sharing. They will develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, conduct training sessions, and provide regular updates to stakeholders on support performance metrics.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Team Leadership: strategic planning, task assignment, and progress tracking; ensuring Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance
  • Technical Oversight: managing support operations for Azure Databricks, PySpark, and Azure Function Apps; reviewing and debugging Python-based scripts and PySpark jobs to resolve incidents and optimize performance
  • Incident Management and Escalation: serving as the escalation point for critical incidents and production issues; conducting root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents and implementing preventive measures
  • Process Optimization and Automation: identifying and implementing improvements in support processes to enhance efficiency and reliability; leveraging automation tools to reduce manual intervention and streamline operations
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution; providing regular updates and reports to leadership and stakeholders on support performance metrics
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for support processes, incident resolutions, and system configurations; conducting training sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops for the support team

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field OR Equivalent
