Component Engineer

Job Summary:
- Create and maintain detailed technical specifications for mechanical/electrical components to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Develop accurate and complete technical specifications for mechanical/electrical components, ensuring alignment with customer needs and regulations.
- Review and approve engineering drawings to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with design teams to verify drawing accuracy and completeness and validate bill of materials (BOMs), datasheets, and 3D models.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, sourcing, quality, and production teams to ensure smooth component procurement and implementation.
- Maintain component libraries (in PLM or ERP systems) to facilitate efficient component management.
- Documentation and Compliance: Ensure specifications meet relevant international standards (ISO, RoHS, REACH, etc.) and maintain up-to-date technical documentation in internal systems.
- Change Management: Handle engineering change requests (ECRs) and change orders (ECOs), and update specification changes across departments.
- Support for New Product Introduction (NPI): Participate in the design and review of new components during NPI processes, and help qualify new suppliers based on technical specification capability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
