Oracle DBA Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to lead the administration, optimization, and security of our Oracle database landscape. This role requires deep Oracle expertise, along with exposure to SAP Basis-related database administration to support SAP environments running on Oracle.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in Oracle database technologies, high availability architecture, and hands-on experience with SAP-Oracle integration or collaboration with SAP Basis teams.

  • Administer multiple Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 19c, 21c) in production, development, and QA environments.
  • Perform installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
  • Optimize database performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and advanced tuning techniques.
  • Manage high availability and disaster recovery configurations using Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in large-scale, enterprise-grade environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in:
  • Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.
  • Performance tuning (SQL, instance-level).
  • Backup/recovery and storage management.
  • Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and diagnostics.
