Job Description:

A Security Analyst is responsible for monitoring, detecting and responding to security threats within an organization's IT infrastructure.

This role acts as the first line of defense against cyberattacks, working to identify, analyze and mitigate security incidents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate proficiency in auditing methodologies
  • Guide team members and peers
  • Obtain relevant certifications (CISA, CISSP, etc.)
  • Successfully manage projects from initiation through completion
  • Understand and articulate the services offered by a security firm at a high level
  • Demonstrate knowledge of SOC 1 and SOC 2 controls
  • Demonstrate understanding of audit opinions and ability to draft modified opinions
  • Demonstrate self-organization and proactive approach to future projects
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and apply concepts to real-world scenarios
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree in accounting, finance, business management, technology or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in information security auditing, assessment, consulting or compliance, focused on ITGC or SOC controls
  • Ability to work well independently, within a team and with clients
  • Maintains or working towards obtaining relevant certification (CPA, CCSK or CISA)
