Cloud Protection Specialist

Achieve unparalleled cloud security by joining Alsvid as a Cloud Protection Specialist. This key role requires 4-5 years of experience in securing cloud environments like AWS, Azure, and GCP.

About the Role:
  • Implement robust security measures to protect cloud assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and ensure secure software development practices.
  • Lead security incident response efforts, investigating and resolving incidents promptly.
  • Monitor cloud environments for potential threats and vulnerabilities, taking proactive measures to prevent security breaches.
  • Maintain compliance with industry and regulatory standards, ensuring our cloud infrastructure meets the highest security standards.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, frameworks, and best practices to safeguard our cloud environment.
  • Participate in designing and executing disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Security Design: Develop and implement comprehensive security frameworks for cloud environments.
  • Incident Response: Lead security incident response efforts, investigating and resolving incidents promptly.
  • Security Monitoring: Monitor cloud environments for potential threats and vulnerabilities, taking proactive measures to prevent security breaches.
  • Compliance Management: Maintain compliance with industry and regulatory standards, ensuring our cloud infrastructure meets the highest security standards.
  • Cloud Governance: Participate in designing and executing disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure minimal downtime.
Requirements:
  • Cloud Platforms: 3-5 years of experience working with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Cloud Security Tools: Hands-on experience with tools such as AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, Google Security Command Center.
  • Security Frameworks: Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS benchmarks, OWASP.
  • IAM & Access Management: Expertise in implementing and managing Identity and Access Management (IAM), role-based access control (RBAC), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Automation & DevSecOps: Experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible) and integration of security within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Data Encryption: Experience with encryption technologies (TLS, SSL, KMS) for data in transit and at rest.
  • Security Incident Response: Hands-on experience with incident detection, investigation, and response, including security logging, monitoring (SIEM), and forensics.
  • Compliance: Knowledge of cloud compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR.
  • Networking & Firewalls: Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts like VPC, subnets, security groups, and network firewalls.
  • Container Security: Experience securing containerized applications (Kubernetes, Docker) and serverless architectures.
  • Cloud Governance: Knowledge of cloud governance, cost management, and policy management.
  • Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automating security tasks.
  • Disaster Recovery & BCP: Experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans (BCP).
Estimated Salary:

$110,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.
