Job Title:

Electrical Project Coordinator

Description:

To support the Senior Project Manager in leading, planning, and executing all electrical works under the Benin Rural Electrification Project, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Project Management:
    • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely project delivery.
    • Lead the execution of electrical works including rural electrification, power distribution lines, substations, and related infrastructure.
    • Monitor progress against schedule, budget, and quality parameters; identify variances and implement corrective actions.
    • Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and international best practices.
  • Business Development:
    • Explore and create business opportunities.
    • Ensure timely submission of technical & financial bids.
    • Ensure bid-to-win ratio as per internal plan.
  • Team Management:
    • Mentor junior project managers and engineers, fostering a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with government officials, contractors, and local communities.
Desired Candidate Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience: Minimum 15+ years of experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, specifically in rural electrification or power distribution.
  • Overseas Experience: Preferable
  • Skills: Strong expertise in rural electrification, power distribution, and project execution.
  • Track Record: Proven track record of managing medium to large-scale electrical infrastructure projects internationally or in challenging environments.
  • Relocation: Willingness to relocate to Benin and travel to any location for site visit and coordination.
