Job Overview

The Senior IT Compliance Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing data protection and monitoring activities while coordinating IT compliance projects. This position requires extensive experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies to ensure the implementation of effective DLP strategies across the organization.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing DLP technology across the enterprise, ensuring seamless integration with existing security systems.
  • Administering DLP tools, including configuration of policies, upgrades, and patches to maintain optimal system performance.
  • Monitoring and responding to alerts generated from DLP systems and other technologies to minimize potential security risks.
  • Evaluating false positives and false negatives, fine-tuning data protection policies to correct errors and enhance overall system accuracy.
  • Performing regular fine-tuning of the DLP console to optimize system performance and responsiveness.
  • Creating new rules and fingerprinting as required by business needs.
  • Assessing applicable regulations and risk and privacy requirements to design effective DLP rules.
  • Establishing end-user awareness through educational materials and training programs.
  • Collaborating with business groups to identify, classify, and secure sensitive data.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A deep understanding of DLP versions, patches, and other initiatives for system updating and upgrading.
  • Excellent knowledge of organizational network architectures, including cloud-based systems.
  • Experience in maintaining various metrics and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Strong customer management skills and the ability to clearly articulate the value of IT services to customers.

Typical Experience

Typical Education
