Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop robust web applications with strong proficiency in programming language fundamentals, idioms, metaprogramming, and object-oriented programming.
  • Design and implement scalable architecture using frameworks like Ruby on Rails, Grape, ActiveRecord, ActiveJob, ActionCable, and ActiveModel validations.
  • Optimize application performance by tuning memory management, garbage collection, and database query plans.
  • Deploy and manage applications using Passenger, Thin, and PostgreSQL.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize features, and develop high-quality solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and apply knowledge to improve application security, scalability, and maintainability.

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of programming language fundamentals, idioms, metaprogramming, and object-oriented programming.
  • Familiarity with memory management, garbage collection, and performance profiling.
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails, Grape, ActiveRecord, ActiveJob, ActionCable, and ActiveModel validations.
  • Comfortable deploying and optimizing Passenger, Thin, and PostgreSQL.
  • Strong proficiency in Bundler, Rake, and Rubygems.
  • Knowledge of RVM, rbenv, and chruby.
