Job Title:

Senior Performance Tester

Job Description:

The Senior Performance Tester will play a critical role in the engineering team, developing a comprehensive performance testing strategy. This includes detailed performance testing requirements and translating these into appropriate scenarios to replicate production.

  • Maintain technical expertise in performance/load testing methodologies.
  • Design and develop solutions for supporting Cloud (Azure DevOps) and CI/CD for Sev utilization.
  • Communicate effectively across multiple teams/external vendors, different personnel when required.
  • Monitor Server metrics using APM tools.
  • Participate in continuous improvement measures to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of automation.
  • Innovate and implement solutions for industry-standard requirements.
  • Analyze business requirements, solution designs, process documentation etc. to identify feasible business-critical transactions.
  • Implement best performance test practices and standards as part of Enterprise solutions.
Operational Management:
  • Conduct endurance, stress, load, volume testing to validate production readiness of software applications and infrastructure for stability and performance.
  • Provide Performance testing software systems support for respective business units.
  • Coordinate and execute creation of Test Cases, scripts and performance test execution.
  • Design, develop and execute scripts validating test cases defined within project test plans.
  • Perform load testing across multiple messaging protocols including HTTP focusing on overall application performance, validating application responses accurately reflecting business requirements.
People Leadership:
  • Mentor and guide junior team members.
Governance & Risk:
  • Track and communicate task progress, status and key performance metrics.
  • Use standard defect tracking tools in promptly and accurately reporting defects found in testing.
Key Accountabilities are subject to change based on business needs.Experience and Personal Attributes:

7+ years of Performance testing experience.

  • Min 5 years of experience with OpenText LoadRunner experience using protocols Citrix, RDP, Java and Performance testing Mobile Technologies and database.
  • Significant experience working with Jmeter and APM tools including NewRelic and Grafana.
  • Proven experience with SOAP Web Services and RESTful Web Services testing using SOAP UI Postman and Swagger.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Performance testing principles techniques and standards such as test design test execution test reporting and test management.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in software development lifecycle SDLC and software quality assurance SQA processes and practices such as agile waterfall and DevOps.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in CI/CD tools and practices such as Jenkins Azure repo Bitbucket Azure DevOps Git Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience working on continuous improvement projects is good to have.
  • Experience working in distributed delivery models with teams spread across different regions will be highly advantageous.
