Job Summary:

The Head of New Product Launch Management is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of product launches globally. This role will support New Product Development project management and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful product launches.

This position requires a proven track record of influencing cross-functional teams, driving decisions, and solving issues within an organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry and be capable of driving new product launches globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional planning, including resource allocation, material planning, financial assessments, and capacity planning.
  • Partner with regional leaders and key functions to ensure timely adherence to NPL milestones.
  • Drive excellence in launch management to achieve successful execution.
  • Implement best practices in NPL management, using dashboards, templates, and tools for efficient planning and execution.
  • Manage NPL calendars, optimize governance processes, and partner with senior management as needed.
  • Ensure effective communication of launch status across the organization.
  • Foster NPL talent through coaching, performance management, and setting clear expectations.
  • Oversee a team of planners and launch managers.
  • Have a strong understanding of oncology/specialty products in Europe and emerging markets.
  • Provide insights on customer preferences and product potential in the European market.
  • Assess go-to-market strategies and support local teams in customer profiling, target setting, and channel planning.
  • Manage the end-to-end commercial aspects of new product launches, from demand generation to supply planning.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree or higher (e.g., MS, MBA) in a relevant discipline.
  • Project management certification is a plus.
  • Experience: 20+ years in planning, NPL, or a related role in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven leadership and management experience.
  • Deep knowledge of planning, product development, regulatory processes, and launch management.
  • Familiarity with pre-clinical, clinical, CMC, quality, regulatory, and commercial functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
