Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking a senior software quality professional with a strong background in software development and process excellence.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Audits & Assessments: Conduct quality audits, act as Assessment Team Member (ATM) in CMMI certification journeys; lead/participate in ISO 9001 & CMMI audits.
  • Process Excellence: Develop, implement, and monitor software development quality processes in line with CMMI for Development, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices; conduct internal/external quality audits.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate software-related risks throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process enhancements, corrective actions, and adoption of best practices across teams.
  • Training & Enablement: Deliver training sessions on quality practices, root cause analysis, Agile, and risk management.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience: 6–10 years in software industry, with minimum 6 years in software development (preferably product companies).
  • Must be focused on development project quality processes (not support/maintenance).
  • At least 75% of career in Tier-1 firms (if from IT services).
  • Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, started career as a software developer with hands-on coding experience.
  • Certifications: CMMI Assessment Team Member; ISO Lead Assessor preferred.
  • Methodologies: Strong knowledge of CMMI for Development, Agile, and awareness of Waterfall methodologies.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical ability.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on software development experience, significant exposure to CMMI for Development, and expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies. The role focuses on driving quality audits, process improvements, risk management, and compliance within a Tier-1 environment.
