Job Title: Database Architect

Key Responsibilities:

  • Database Architecture and Design: Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance database architectures to support business growth.
  • Database Administration: Plan, implement, and maintain databases on Cloud and On-Prem platforms ensuring data integrity, security, and availability.
  • Migration and Upgrade: Migrate databases across Cloud and On-Prem platforms with minimal or no downtime and ensure seamless upgrades to the latest versions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and management to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Development: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, and share knowledge with the team to drive innovation and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Database Programming Languages: Working knowledge in database programming languages (in MSSQL/PostgreSQL/MySQL).
  • Database Concepts: Understanding of database concepts – ACID properties, normal forms, DDL/DML, transaction logging, log shipping, Mirroring, High-Availability etc.
  • Relational and Dimensional Data Modeling: Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling.
  • Cloud Migration Experience: Experience in developing migration plans to migrate on-premises databases to Cloud (such as AWS/Azure).
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with attention to detail and problem-solving attitude.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related information technology field with 6 to 8 years of experience in database administration or development.
  • Database Technologies: Proficient knowledge in working, maintaining database technologies (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL etc.).
  • Cloud Experience: Working experience with database cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) including migration.
  • Relevant Certifications: Relevant database certifications on cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure.
  • Operating Systems and Cloud Environments: Knowledge of Windows Server, Linux systems, and Cloud environments. Experience in ITIL-based environments.

Location: Bengaluru, India (Hybrid – 3 Days WFO mandatory)
