Medical Laboratory Specialist

This role involves working in a laboratory setting, performing routine tests and analyzing results. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood, urine, stool, and other body fluid samples from patients.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests including hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and pathology.
  • Prepare specimens for examination and ensure proper labeling and storage.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Record and analyze test results accurately and report to the concerned physician or department.
  • Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents.
  • Ensure proper disposal of biohazardous waste following safety protocols.
Essential Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or related field preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
  • Commitment to ethical practices, safety, and confidentiality.
Work Environment
