Key Cybersecurity Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, enthusiastic security specialist with excellent analytical and communication skills to enhance our Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Bot Management team.

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that perimeter security for web properties keeps pace with the changing threat landscape. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their application security knowledge in a complex, mission-critical environment.

Job Description:

  • Collaborate with global tech functions to onboard internet-facing web applications to WAF
  • Review logs, implement tuning, and perform web blocking for onboarded applications
  • Map IP addresses, FQDNs, and services to applications
  • Liaise with service owners and teams to gather application data for WAF migration purposes
  • Analyze web behavior and performance to establish acceptable thresholds
  • Perform policy tuning based on performance baselines
  • Transition WAF from transparent to enforcement mode
  • Cleanse and validate data
  • Participate in proof-of-concept exercises for new security capabilities
  • Manage changes: Prepare, document, implement, and verify changes while communicating with end-users and impacted parties
  • Incident and problem management: Conduct root cause analysis, respond to incidents, and participate in post-mortem analysis
  • Participate in on-call rotations

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, and well-organized
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships with application owners, demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Web network security expertise, focusing on Web Application Firewalls/Controls, and their role in layered defense-in-depth strategies
  • Experience with Akamai or equivalent platforms: Radware, Imperva, Shape Security, CloudFlare, etc.
  • Experience with onboarding web services into WAF Akamai, Shape, etc. platforms and the lifecycle of monitor to mitigation modes
  • Assist with vulnerabilities discovered via these platforms
  • Work with relevant teams to implement best web security practices and enhance the Firm's security posture
  • Strong collaboration skills across multiple teams required
  • Understanding of ITIL processes
