Job Title: Application Security Specialist

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to play a key role in the cybersecurity of our organization.

We are looking for an experienced Application Security Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in secure software development life cycles, secure code reviews, and threat modeling.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with tools such as Checkmarx, SonarQube, Fortify, Snyk, OWASP Dependency-Check, and WhiteSource. They will also be familiar with cloud security, scripting/automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and compliance standards like ISO 27001, SOC2, or GDPR.

The successful candidate will work closely with our development teams to embed security into agile workflows, perform secure code reviews, integrate and maintain security testing in CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless integration of security into the DevOps process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Secure SDLC processes across development teams.
  • Perform Secure Code Reviews and Software Composition Analysis to identify vulnerabilities in code and third-party libraries.
  • Integrate and maintain security testing in CI/CD pipelines (SAST, DAST, SCA, container security scanning).
  • Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and operations teams to embed security in agile workflows.
  • Prepare security documentation, risk assessments, and compliance reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Secure SDLC processes and secure coding practices.
  • Experience with secure code review tools.
  • Expertise in Software Composition Analysis.
  • Experience/knowledge with threat modeling.
  • Knowledge of securing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with application security principles.
