About this role: We're seeking a highly skilled Citrix Architect to design, implement and maintain scalable and secure virtual desktop solutions using Citrix technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solution Design: Analyze business requirements, assess existing infrastructure and design end-to-end virtual desktop architectures that meet performance, scalability and security needs.
  • Citrix Integration: Design and integrate Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC and Citrix Cloud with Azure virtual desktop services to provide a comprehensive virtual desktop solution.
  • Azure Virtual Desktop Configuration: Configure and manage Azure virtual machines, session hosts, virtual networks and storage to create and maintain Azure virtual desktop environments.
  • Identity and Access Management: Design and implement identity and access management strategies, including integration with Azure Active Directory, multifactor authentication and role-based access controls.
  • Network Infrastructure: Design and configure network connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and Azure, including network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs and load balancers.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize virtual desktop environments for performance, scalability and user experience by monitoring and tuning resource allocation, load balancing and network bandwidth.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security measures, including data encryption, access controls and compliance requirements, to protect virtual desktop environments and ensure industry regulations and organizational policies are met.
  • High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime and data loss by creating redundancy mechanisms, backup strategies and failover mechanisms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Several years of experience as a Citrix Architect or similar role designing and implementing virtual desktop solutions using Citrix technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure virtual desktop services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory and virtual networks.
  • Proficiency in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC and Citrix Cloud.
  • Experience in network design, including connectivity options, firewalls, VPNs and load balancers.
  • Familiarity with identity and access management concepts, including Azure Active Directory, multifactor authentication and role-based access controls.
  • Understanding of performance optimization techniques, monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, data encryption, access controls and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
