Sarron Senior Textile Designer Job

We are seeking a Senior Textile Designer to join our team at Sarron, a handloom-based contemporary clothing brand based in West Bengal. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating unique and innovative designs for our handloom textiles, focused on the Indian and global markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated expertise in handloom weaving, including extensive knowledge of weaving techniques and Indian weaves like Jamdani for global markets.
  • Proficiency in sampling techniques, weaving, block printing, surface design techniques, and dyeing to create high-quality textiles.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and innovations, incorporating them into new designs to ensure our brand remains competitive.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD software to create visually appealing designs.
  • Exceptional artistic ability, with a focus on quick turnaround times in creating original artworks and motifs.
  • Detailed attention to weaving and fabric construction to ensure the highest quality in textile design.
  • Proactive and collaborative approach to project management, working closely with our production team to ensure seamless execution.

Candidate Profile:

  • Degree in Textile Design from a reputable institution, such as NID, NIFT, or others.
  • Ability to work independently, understanding market requirements, and delivering CADs and artwork within set timelines.
  • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to interpret and convey design concepts effectively.
  • Proficiency in design software, including Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, with a focus on creating visually compelling designs.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the Textiles sector, preferably within handloom weaving, with a focus on contemporary designs.
  • Strong knowledge of weaving techniques is highly desirable, indicating a comprehensive understanding of textile production and design complexities.

Bardhaman/Kolkata, West Bengal

Compensation:
